Tracey Danner-Odenwelder,Ed. D, CFRE

With over 25 years’ experience in nonprofit, education, and fundraising, Tracey is passionate about serving others and impacting our global community. Tracey collaborates with key stakeholders to address organizational and community needs, focusing on long-term sustainability, evolving relevance, and expanding community impact. She is results-oriented and takes pride in developing cohesive and cause-driven staff, board and volunteer teams. Her experience includes working for the YMCA, a global nonprofit organization, serving as the Executive Director for resource development for Ivy Tech Community College, the Director of Advancement for Indianapolis Public Schools, and serving as an independent consultant in nonprofit and education.
Tracey earned her doctorate in Human and Organizational Learning from George Washington University; her dissertation researched the impact corporate social responsibility has on the organization’s culture, particularly studying the role of senior leadership and cross-sector partnerships. Her MPhil and MS degrees are in Organizational Dynamics, with dual certification in Organizational Leadership and Global Studies, from the University of Pennsylvania. Her BS in Human Services is from Springfield College. Tracey has studied abroad in Italy, England, Greece, Finland, Poland, Estonia, China, and South Africa; in each of the countries she researched social service systems and how community needs were met. She has her CFRE, Lilly School of Philanthropy fundraising certification, and additonal certifications in culture and leadership assessments.
Tracey was the recipient of the 2020 Robert Shoemaker- Thomas Branum Service to Humanity Award, 2018 Presidential Excite, Engage, Evolve Award, and the 2022 Richard Kendall Service to Humanity Award. She serves as an Indy Chamber Ambassador, the Rotary Peace Fellowship Chair and Assistant Governor for central Indiana, has served on local and international boards, and has participated in service trips to Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Prague, and Poland. In her free time, she enjoys traveling. Tracey is looking forward to serving the children and families in the Congo.
