Joe Gruss
Board Member
Joe Gruss serves in Business Development at Huston Electric, a full-service electrical contractor headquartered in Indiana. In this role, he builds and maintains relationships across multiple industries, helping clients with electrical, solar, EV charging, signage, and technology solutions throughout the state.
Deeply invested in his community, Joe is an active member of numerous boards and organizations. He currently serves as Secretary of the City of Franklin Board of Zoning Appeals, a Board Member and Committee Chair for Leadership Johnson County, and a Committee Member for Discover Downtown Franklin. He is also a Board Member for SAWs (Servants at Work), a Dream Alive Mentor, and an Ambassador for both the Franklin and Indianapolis Chambers of Commerce.
Joe also contributes to workforce development through his service on several educational advisory boards, including Ivy Tech Community College, Indianapolis Public Schools, Lincoln Technical Institute, and Central Nine Career Center. In addition, he is a proud member of the Rotary Club of Franklin, Indiana.
A graduate of Ivy Tech Community College with a degree in Electrical Science, Joe continues to be passionate about technical education, leadership, and community collaboration.
Joe lives in beautiful downtown Franklin, Indiana, with his wife Libby and their two dogs, Annie and Charlie. They enjoy spending time with their grown children and close friends, often taking advantage of all that Franklin’s vibrant downtown has to offer.
